evojkp Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Congratulations folks, I hope both Mum and Baby Cameron are doing well. The grapevine in Whitburn is a scarey thing.
wrxmania Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 << The grapevine in Whitburn is a scarey thing. >> Oh no, what do you know about me All the very best to J&K and of course baby Cameron. Arrived early, just in time for that big Christmas dinner Blaeberry meet on the 7th to wet both baby Adam and baby Camerons' heads!!! Brian
evojkp Posted December 23, 2004 Author Posted December 23, 2004 Brian, things on the grapevine about you are not just scarey, but worrying I agree, wetting the bairns' heids on the 7th. Unless there is an impromptu call to arms between Xmas and the New Year
spooks Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Congrats matey, hope baby and Kirsty are well. Seen it announced in the Courier today........ Well done to you both. Spooks
22B Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 John, You going to drop by and speak to me regardsthe ring?
john_robertson Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 Thanks folks, I was just about to stick an announement in . As you may imagine things have been a bit hetic since the rather early arrival, 9 days early Quite an interesting 24 hours it was too say the least, so heres a quick run of events for you. Sitting on the rig, last shift looking forward to 3 weeks off, next thing get a shout on the radio saying that I've got an outside call so the guy in the control room patches it through, this is at 5:50pm. Kirsty - It's me. Me - Yeah whats up? Kirsty - I'm having contactions. Me - WHAT since when? Kirsty - Well they started this morning and now their only 7 mins apart, I think you should come home. Me - 7 minutes why didn't you phone earlier? I don't know of theres any flights coming in this late. Kirsty - I thought they would go away. Me - I'll see what I can do. Thankfully there was a flight coming in at 5:45pm and the boss managed to get me on it, only downside, via Scatsa aaarrrggghhh. Finally get into Aberdeen at around 8:00pm, I've got the car at the Scooby but its thankfully only the Clio ( hate to think what speeds I would have been doing of it was the Scoob ) so managed to get the hospital for 11:00pm. At 05:50 baby Cameron appeared, needless to say both Kirsty and myself were well knackered by this time but absolutley chuffed to bits, so far he has been great even allowing us something resembling sleep at night. He's only 8 days old now but crickey he has totally took over the house, everywhere I look theres baby grows, sheets and teddy bears. I'll give everybody a shout so we can get something arranged for a get together. Thanks John.
rickydiver Posted December 24, 2004 Posted December 24, 2004 Congratulation John pass congrats onto Kirsty. Great name by the way So your Mum will be proud Granny again then!! Cheers Richard H
evojkp Posted December 24, 2004 Author Posted December 24, 2004 << John, You going to drop by and speak to me regardsthe ring? >> Probably after the new year mate as I'm working striaght thru till them. BTW, if you see a blue E8....that's me Long story, but quite funny. Needless to say the E7 is tucked away. John, glad you managed to make it in time mate, although not a pretty sight seeing one of them things pop out...is it? I still have nightmares
wrxmania Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 Spill the beans John - a Blue 8 - what's happening with the VII? Brian
evojkp Posted December 25, 2004 Author Posted December 25, 2004 Not a lot at the moment Brian. It's garaged up. Enjoying the change with the E8. It's a bit more civil than my 7 and fun in the snow this morning
john_robertson Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Thanks Richard, yup Isobel is very happy to say the least and my Dad is well chuffed as he's fed up being the only man around when I'm offshore . It is a great name isn't it John, it is a bit messy to say the least, the midwife asked if I wanted to see his head and I declined and said I'd rather wait for the rest of him to appear. Whats this about an E8?? John.
evojkp Posted December 28, 2004 Author Posted December 28, 2004 I've the E8 as a courtesy car for a week until the DVLA local office opens up. Somewhere along the way there was a slight error in the cars registration, so I could not get it taxed. So to save it being impounded and crushed by plod, it's tucked away until tomorrow when I can get the mess sorted out. Although the tax was out of date by 24 days when I noticed it It had to be xmas eve when the DVLA were shut, just my donald duck They were the ones to 'suggest' it was off the road until it was sorted out. Western gave me the car to tide me over. E8 and E7
john_robertson Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 Nice collection quite like the E8 but Mitsi need to ditch those Maxy P lights. John.
evojkp Posted December 28, 2004 Author Posted December 28, 2004 The 8 is okay, but lacking a bit. I've done a wee write-up here
Grovit Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Only just read this - hence apologies for the delayed response - but Congratulations - glad Mother and baby are fine
john_robertson Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Thanks Grovit, both are doing fine John, have you took the E8 back yet? if not tell Andy "the salesman" he still owes me a few favours and I want a L200 Animal or Shogun Sport at an old friends price Good write up on the E8 BTW still don't think its enough for me to change from the scooby though, don't think I could be bothered with the 4500 mile service intervals. John.
