Who can do Remapping on a Jap STi to use UK Fuel

Who can do a remap & what are my options on remapping a STi V3 to UK fuel.

Optimax & Octance boost will do for a while..

Will I loose power with the remap?

How much... ?

You shouldn't loose power with a remap, no. Just have a safer car. Depending on the map you get, you could increase power. I have no idea what options are available for the sti3 though - sorry.

Of course if you stop using booster, then the fuel will have less calorific value so you'll potenentially loose something, but not much and well worth it to avoid a big bang !!

Get a knocklink first though, so at least you know what the engine is doing!

Get a downpipe replacement at the same time and use the remap to unlock the horses

Well if your happy with the cars performance then go for a Dastek unichip which can be live mapped to alter your timing to UK fuel and generaly free up a few extra ponies. About £600 i think

If you are planning on going for bigger Horse power in the future then an Apexi Power FC, GEMS or Motec will be better suited to your task. Betwenn £800 and £3000

A third option would be, again in the modest performance gains bracket, is the Scoobyecu. Problem is they are as rare as a gold coated jobby. About £100

The V3 would be happy on Opti + Octane Booster but as the wise man Kartman said get a Knock link to monitor engine activity to ensure all is well when the right foot becomes leaden
