paulc555 Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 Hi all Finally got word i can pick up my sti3 next weekend....been on asking about this knocklink business, still not sure if i need one because the car is not decat and wont be thrashed to the redline..think ive only done this once in my uk... anyway...until i get this knocklink fitted can anyone advise me on the correct way to use octane booster...how much to add each time etc..am i better letting the tank nearly empty..and i suppose i need to know the size of the tank on a 96import sti... as always your experienced comments will be appreciated by me as im a complete mechanical twat.... cheers keep the octane up and all that.....
dougster Posted October 29, 2004 Posted October 29, 2004 I usually add half a tank Optimax and half a bottle of Millers OB. The octane rating deteriorates over a shortish period of time and I felt that more regular top ups would help. I may (big may) be able to source you some Millers
paulc555 Posted October 29, 2004 Author Posted October 29, 2004 cheers dougster.. i work in the automotive aftermarket and have regular contact with a good list of suppliers..should be able to negotiate a good deal with one of them...thanks for the offer though....
paulc555 Posted October 29, 2004 Author Posted October 29, 2004 so anyone any idea of the size of fuel tank on my new chariot...
