DEVLIN Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Dealt with a couple of these cars recently, I know they,re not new to the fleet but a wee reminder never hurt anyone. 1. silver merc c320 saloon 2. purple merc c320 saloon both have full camera recording gear and are very discreet. Apart from a beesting aerial on the roof , they look like normal rep-mobiles.
scoobymadburd Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Thanks for informing us Barry that will help me when im flying to work in my 1.3 Hyundai. It will certainly help me and Wullie when we are out in Hamilton. Claire

stephen_fergus2 Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Also another Silver new C-Class Merc ending in SYR doing the rounds of A77 etc .. Was in at mates valet place and it was getting valeted .. looked like a nice new , normal C class until u flicked a wee switch inside and the wee blue lights behind the grill and alternating flashing h/lights come on .. Yes , that's right folks , our tax-payers money is going towards these buggers who cant be arsed washing their own cars Steve
ANDYJDMSTI Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 << Also the boys in blue have 2 Honda ST1100 Pan European, could not catch the regi off them as i was doing a ton on the other side of the M74, 1 is metallic burgendy and the other is metallic blue Dressed all in black with white helmets Grant >> seen these a couple of times on the A 82 loch lomond road. sly buggers!!!!!
DEVLIN Posted October 5, 2004 Author Posted October 5, 2004 By the way steve , **** SYR - is a silver c180 . It belongs to the chief of transport police it has no other gear apart from the lights. ( were the light switches in the trinket box in front of the arm rest .) I dont think we have to worry about this one. I think a wee thread to name and shame all these sneaky rozzers is needed
stephen_fergus2 Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Hi Barry , HOW DO U KNOW THESE THINGS ?????!!!??? (psst ..hey peeps, I think we got an insider here ! ) Name and shame sounds good .. I'll start .. 1. New Black E-class ALWAYS stopping peeps on M77 2. Burgundy/red bikes .. 2 of .. ( BMW I think ) .. M77/A77 Steve
DEVLIN Posted October 5, 2004 Author Posted October 5, 2004 Stevo , i,d tell you but then i,d need to kill you cut and paste any new sneakys 1. New Black E-class ALWAYS stopping peeps on M77 2. Burgundy/red bikes .. 2 of .. ( BMW I think ) .. M77/A77 3. silver c320 - HAMILTON/MOTHERWELL 4. purple c320 - GLASGOW 5. 2 x Honda pan europeans - Burg + blue - M74 6. 2 x BMW 330 4dr saloons 18"alloys - Borders area
Bladerider Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Guys, it's not a good idea posting the reg numbers of the police vehicles. The unmarked cars are not always used for traffic duties. They might be used for covert surveillence for example. If the reg number is known to a dangerous criminal, it could lead to endangering the safety of the plods. Oh, since we're on the subject, there's a burgundy Honda Blackbird with front and rear facing camera's. I know the reg number but I'm not telling.
DEVLIN Posted October 5, 2004 Author Posted October 5, 2004 Point taken mate , All posts edited. 1. New Black E-class ALWAYS stopping peeps on M77 2. Burgundy/red bikes .. 2 of .. ( BMW I think ) .. M77/A77 3. silver c320 - HAMILTON/MOTHERWELL 4. purple c320 - GLASGOW 5. 2 x Honda pan europeans - Burg + blue - M74 6. 2 x BMW 330 4dr saloons 18"alloys - Borders area 7. Honda blackbird - Ayrshire area?
Marky-San Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Theres an even easier way to find out the cars in your area - go round back of police station and watch them coming and going into the car park. In Motherwell we have some of the finest machinery

Reasons being that if they are doing surveillance properly then they will regularly change plates and would not really be doing surveillance serials in big flashy motors no matter what environment they are working. the object of surveillance is to blend in with unasuming vehicles. just my point of view (from experience i may add)
scoobymadburd Posted October 6, 2004 Posted October 6, 2004 I agree they blend in with other cars and thats talking from experience. The police have a few chav cars as well so they can blend in with other chavs and catch them in the act!! Claire
