Dealt with a couple of these cars recently, I know they,re not new to the fleet

but a wee reminder never hurt anyone.

1. silver merc c320 saloon

2. purple merc c320 saloon

both have full camera recording gear and are very discreet. Apart from a beesting

aerial on the roof , they look like normal rep-mobiles.

Guys, it's not a good idea posting the reg numbers of the police vehicles. The unmarked cars are not always used for traffic duties. They might be used for covert surveillence for example. If the reg number is known to a dangerous criminal, it could lead to endangering the safety of the plods.

Oh, since we're on the subject, there's a burgundy Honda Blackbird with front and rear facing camera's. I know the reg number but I'm not telling.

Theres an even easier way to find out the cars in your area - go round back of police station and watch them coming and going into the car park.

In Motherwell we have some of the finest machineryface-icon-small-wink.gif

number plates are not a problem IMO. Reasons being that if they are doing surveillance properly then they will regularly change plates and would not really be doing surveillance serials in big flashy motors no matter what environment they are working. the object of surveillance is to blend in with unasuming vehicles.

just my point of view (from experience i may addface-icon-small-wink.gif)

I agree they blend in with other cars and thats talking from experience. The police have a few chav cars as well so they can blend in with other chavs and catch them in the act!!

I saw that silver merc in Coatbridge on Shawhead road. (the dual carriageway that is a 30mph limit if you don't know).

I passed it at about 40 ish and only just happened to glance over and noticed the 2 cops sitting inside. THought they were following me but they pulled someone else. VERY discreet!!face-icon-small-disgusted.gif
