Boxer23 Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 Silver WRX Impreza gave the Manx SIDC lot a bad name in Peel Road, Douglas, on Monday afternoon. The driver was in the left land lane to turn left towards the power station and then booted it to cut right in front of a queue of traffic heading in the Peel-bound lane, causing the motorists at the front to jump on their brakes to avoid a collision. Quite a dangerous move as there were roadworks cutting into the junction on Peel Road and a long line of traffic in the correct line. Driving a performance car is one thing but driving one safely and sensibly is another. Ninety-nine per cent of the Impreza drivers I know in the Island are very careful, considerate, drivers and build up a good reputation for the club. One or two can let the side down. Be sensible before we all get tarred with the 'boy racer' brush.
Cret Posted June 22, 2004 Posted June 22, 2004 Foolish not to mention potentially extremely dangerous! Legacy drivers are a more refined breed.
Boxer23 Posted June 22, 2004 Author Posted June 22, 2004 Back on topic but let's make sure we all keep the SIDC name in good form. Let's not forget the police had to get involved in one of our club meet runs on the way back from Ramsey due to complaints about an Impreza driver. Everyone do the Manx SIDC proud.
