thewifescar
Hello,I am planning a small amount of bodywork restoration on our Blob WRX.The STI spoiler is showing its age and has started to bubble and lose some lacquer. The bodyshop suggested it might be worth looking for a new replacement rather than hours of prep.I have had a trawl of some online Subaru parts shops, ebay and facebay but they seem to be in short supply.Ebay does list new grp replicas from either Poland or Germany, anybody got experience of these? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-2-II-02-07-WRX-STI-REAR-BOOT-SPOILER/373328250802?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-7-8-REAR-BOOT-SPOILER-STi-WRX-tuning/252718081207?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 thanks Link to comment

thewifescar
hi, I did see these but think for the cost I can prep my existing one. So I then tried to find new replica spoilers for sale, as these should be ready for paint. Link to comment
MarkJHarris
Not a fan of replicas. You can always spot them a mile off. Originals are two pice, have small covers under the outer edges and run a tensioned cable through them. Plus the O.E. brake light fits perfectly. I used Stiffi's on mine as they also have a tendency to crack the paint on the corner if your roads are nasty..... That upper vane Saj has is nice too. Improves the downforce from the main spoiler.. I put a fitting guide up on Scoobynet about 10 years ago. Link to comment
