benz66
Hello All, I just wanted to introduce myself really. My name is Ben and I live in Berkshire. I don't currently drive a Scooby but have had the itch for about 20 years when following rallying was my thing, rode bikes since then, until being knocked off a few years ago so looking to buy within the next few years when life settles down a litte. I love the old classics, the R's and the RA's and recently atended an event at Prodrive organised by the Type RA Forum which was excellent. I guess that's about it for now. Take it easy out there. :-) Link to comment
stano4130
Welcome Benz66 There is no better feeling than driving a Scooby, after chasing it for 20years. Ive also been waiting years, and finally managed to purchase 1 about 1.5 years ago, and haven't looked back since. Hopefully we will see you soon at one of the meets in your new classic Link to comment
ScoobieFloz
Hi Ben, A few of us were there at Prodrive. If the wonderful display you saw there doesn't pull you into the Subaru fold nothing's will. There were some lovely classics. I hope you find a nice example when you get round to purchasing one and we see you at some meets. Link to comment
benz66
Thanks for the warm welcome @stano4130 @scoobiefloz . I'll likely become a member anyway, if that's allowed without a Scooby, as it will be great to come along to the meets and shows anyway. Take is easy'ish out there! Link to comment
ccrien
Hi Ben,. Don't wait too long before buying,. The older ones are arguably the best ( and cheapest!) Link to comment
scoobysti
Hi Ben, welcome! I waited 18 years until I was in a position to finally get one. Best thing I've ever done, best car I've ever driven... ...living the dream!! Classics are my favourite! Link to comment
