Adriches
Hi all, im aaron Ive signed up as i try to finally decide what to buy. In the new year im looking at buying an impreza exactly which model im not sure yet as im torn between bug/blobeye sti, or hawkeye/hatch wrx. I have previously owned a couple of celicas and on recently owning an octavia vrs i am even more firmly set on jap. Once i do get my hands on a car i dont think i'll be doing anything too extreme with it that will stand out from the norm. I do however plan on getting quite a bit of use out of it by means of meets, shows and track use. That being the case i hope to be quite active both on here and by actively attending. So far this year its been very frustrating as due to car problems TOTB on sunday will be the first day ive been to since japshow last year. Making me all the more determined to be more involved next year Feel free to say hi anytime to me, Also anyone thinking of selling in the new year <£5k let me know & i'll happily consider Link to comment

Adriches
Hi Aaron and welcome. I hope our members will be able to help you out. I personally would always go for the blobeye :-D Funnily enough today we were behind a blobeye sti in traffic & my son was going crazy for it. Im more towards getting an sti because i'd be spending money i saved on the car its self on upgrading wrx parts. Its just a case of convincing the other half Link to comment
bengluyas
Oi mr floz bugeyes rule ? I have to disagree. Its all about the hawkeye sti's.haha Link to comment
bengluyas
Hi mate. I drive a hawkeye sti widetrack and wouldnt get anything else but for the 5k you have a blob or bug eye sti is more possible and you will have some choice to make sure your not buying the cheapest for sale and getting a dog riddled with problems. If you do go for a hawkeye please bare in mind they do have problems with excessive wear on the rear suspension conponents and the ej25 block does have a problem with piston slap if not treated well. Hope this is helpful. Link to comment

I had a good look at a few on sunday at TOTB & am if anything even more towards the blob for the simple reason that i feel money wise i can afford a decent sti. I have nothing at all against wrx but when im planning on going on track feel that for me personally the sti makes more sense. As for the blobeye shape i saw a few that with just minor touches i thought looked amazing Link to comment
