KingJim Posted February 2, 2015 Share Posted February 2, 2015 New to this Forum - previously a member of the Mazda MPS forum (had a 2012 3 MPS), just bought a 2015 WRX STI - very close to purchasing a Cupra 280 - then test drove the STI. Really glad I took the test drive and bought the STI, totally different feeling to my old MPS (thought the MPS was great in a straight line once in its stride!). My heart ruled my head in this case - head suggested the Cupra (45 mpg), the heart insisted on the STI. Test drove both and fell for the STI, love the traction, the sound, and the fact it feels like an adventure every time I get in it! The Cupra by comparison felt and looked a bit boring... The STI's only covered 50 miles so far (38 by me) dealer suggest max 4000rpm for the fist 1000 miles, would be grateful if anyone has more detailed running in procedures? Will search the forum in a min... Will post some pics when light permits (dark on the way to work, dark on the way home), picked dark grey, looks pretty stealthy if you ignore the huge spoiler!
