st3ph3n Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Holy user account resurrection batman! Anyone know of anywhere Glasgow-ish that can do custom intercooler builds? Not for a subaru, but an intercooler is an intercooler and some of you nutters must have had some interesting ones put together. Hope you're all well! Cheers
mctwistuk Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Hi big chap. Now it has been a while. I don't know of any places to help but am sure dci lee etc will keep you right. What chariot you running these days? Chris
paul555sti Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Hello stranger! As above I'm sure Peter will know somebody.
st3ph3n Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 Changed my tedious diesel clio for an Ibiza SC earlier this year. Got the 1.4 twin charged engine with the 7 speed DSG. Nice little car to drive and not slow. Not 290 horses quick obviously, but I can't complain as it's fairly cheap to run.
fai17 Posted July 1, 2013 Posted July 1, 2013 Holy smoke batman. The chicken satay man has risen. For what application Stephen?
st3ph3n Posted July 1, 2013 Author Posted July 1, 2013 Hey Peter, would be for a small-ish core cooler to fit a supercharged 1400 motorbike engine running I think about 18psi/1.25 bar. To be packaged in a Westfield type car. Everything on eBay is heavy, too big, or doesn't have the sort of pipework exits that are helpful to the packaging. How's the satay? Must get down for a taste again.
fai17 Posted July 3, 2013 Posted July 3, 2013 Satay is as tasty as ever with the improved formula. Meercat can do the pipe work and make end tanks but you'll need to source a core. Best to try pace or ah fabrication and the likes.
st3ph3n Posted July 3, 2013 Author Posted July 3, 2013 Thanks Peter. If buying a core from someone then it might just be as well to get them to do the end tanks etc. anyway - and it'd all be their work too. Have passed the info on though. What you running now these days?
