Here's this weeks planned camera locations folks.... but remmeber to keep an eye out for the cars! It was one of them that got me last time!

North East First

Sunday, April 7th, 2013 at 2:00 am

Beach Boulevard, Aberdeen – 30mph

A90 between Midstocket Road and Whitestripes Avenue roundabout - 40mph

A96 Huntly between the A920 Dufftown and B9022 Portsoy junctions – NSL

A96 Huntly road between junction with A920 Kirkton of Culsalmond & Skares – NSL

A95 between 30mph at Keith and Davoch of Grange – NSL

A941 between 30mph at Lossiemouth and 40mph at Elgin – NSL

A96 between Forgie and A98 junction at Fochabers – NSL

A96 Mosstodloch to Lhanbryde – NSL

Route 1: A90 Peterhead to Fraserburgh – Various

Route 2: A90 Aberdeen to Northwater Bridge – Various

Route 3: A96 Great Northern Road to Tyrebagger – Various

Route 5: A956 Ellon Road/Parkway roundabout to Makro/Cove roundabout – Various

Route 6: A98 from Fochabers to Cullen – Various

Northern Safety Camera Partnership deployment intentions w/c 8 Aprll 2013

Northern Safety Camera Partnership Manager, Dougie Bennion, said: ” It’s important to remember that the speed limit is the absolute maximum and does not mean it is always safe to drive at that speed irrespective of conditions. Driving at speeds too fast for the road and traffic conditions is dangerous.

“You should always reduce your speed when:

sharing the road with pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists or horse riders

the road layout or condition presents hazards, such as bends

weather conditions make it safer to do so

driving at night as it is more difficult to see other road users.”

Subject to operational exigencies, the Northern Safety Camera Partnership Mobile Camera Unit will be operating at the following locations:

Badenoch, Strathspey & Nairnshire

A9 - Near Dalwhinnie

A9 - North of Dalwhinnie Junction

A9 - Cuaich, by Dalwhinnie

A86 Kingussie to Newtonmore

Lochaber

A86 near to Spean Bridge Primary School

A82 - Near White Corries, Rannoch Moor, Lochaber

A82 - Kingshouse Hotel, Glencoe

Caithness and Sutherland

A99 at Mid Clyth

A99 - South of Wick at Hempriggs

A9 - South of the Mound, by Golspie

A949 Evelix Road, Dornoch

Ross & Cromarty

A834 - Strathpeffer Road, Dingwall

A835 - Inverlael Straight, near Ullapool

Inverness

A82 - Altsigh Youth Hostel, by Invermoriston

A9 - Daviot, by Inverness

A82 - Invergarry Power Station

Additional Deployments

A9 Skiach junction to Broomfield, Ross-shire

A9 between Latheron and Thurso

All our camera sites have a proven history of collisions and evidence of speeding vehicles. We may from time to time use mobile cameras at other sites where both vehicle and road users are at greater risk, such as road works.
