jd Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 The local supplier of Super Unleaded to the Channel Islands has decided to stop importing the fuel. Currently they are mentioning tank repairs / alternative product / ok to use 95 octane but nothing defined has come out. This will have a massive impact on not only those of us who run modified cars in the islands, but also new and 2nd hand car sales as there are alot of cars out there that are recomended by the manufacturer to run on 97 or above. https://www.facebook.com/groups/339802529471751/?notif_t=group_r2j Please join up & pledge your support for us.
jd Posted February 12, 2013 Author Posted February 12, 2013 Most octane boosters dont work. My car has been mapped by enginetuner and i dont see why i should be forced to use a sub-quality fuel
lewisscoob Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 I'd be considering a map tweak over long term use of octane booster.
jd Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 and that means a trip across the water to plymouth.............not the cheapest map tweak.
jd Posted February 13, 2013 Author Posted February 13, 2013 May But i am being forced into this, not a choice.
