Partnership Manager, Dougie Bennion said: “Speed monitoring at the site has been undertaken in response to concerns outlined by the local community and the data collected supports these concerns. In conjunction with the local policing division it is our intention to encourage drivers to slow down by deploying one of our highly visible mobile units in the area. “Local residents can be rest assured that concerns raised about speeding are responded to, and we will continue our deployment intention over the coming months.” All our camera sites have a proven history of collisions and evidence of speeding vehicles. We may from time to time use mobile cameras at other sites where both vehicle and road users are at greater risk, such as road works.
