Car Theft

Recommended Posts

My STI was taken from outside my house the other night, after burglars found the keys. It was quickly located not too far away thanks to the tracking device and I have now got it back. The garage aren't being very helpful about what to do re future theft as the burglars still have the key. They said about £500 to change the locks but haven't come back with a final price. If I get the remote control reprogrammed then presumably it is immobilised but the thieves could get into it using the key if they wanted to? They know it has a tracker device so they'd be pretty stupid to try again.... Has anyone experienced this situation? I have the car at a garage some distance away at the moment until I sort this out.

Sorry to here about theft. I have a small combination safe in my cupboard and my car keys go in there. So they are safe and sound. I tried to hide keys in past, just found safe fastest way to get keys /wallet etc on way out. Hope your car sorted soon.
