Another Disc's Pads Question

Recommended Posts

i know i had posted a thread before about brakes, but i think i have changed ma mind (hopefully for the last time lol)

was gona go for the brake tech discs front and rear and mintex 114 or 115 pads but i thinks im gona go for the ebc pads and discs instead.

linky to brakes

Gona go for the braided brake lines and EBC red stuff pads

and either the EBC turbo groove discs or the EBC ultimax discs, as they are the same price i would like to know:

does any one have either of them fitted?

which ones are best?

any opinions on the quality/ or how long the discs and pads will last

its for the subaru 4 pots and it would only be for road use

cheers guys :occasion14:

Bad move with ebc red brakes , I had them and had brake failure twice on a Lanark run . Mintex 1144,55 pads are a sensible choice . I had ebc discs on previously with the

Mintex pads it was a cracking combination never let me down once .

Why not get some kevlar pads? I have them on Brembos and they work great. Better than the ebc yellow stuff pads I had before. All fast road use. Kevlar ones are cheaper also!

have not heard good things about them in relation to them not lasting very long compared to other pads.

I had EBC discs and Red stuff front/Green stuff rears on my MY97 classic, never had any problems and did a few track days too with them.

so much better than standard.

I had my red stuff pads on about 4 years ago , I do believe they have upgraded their pad materials so they may be well improved on what I had years ago .
