Front Discs

hey folks cars needing new front discs , alread has new pads that have only done 3k , been told about this place by a mate . anyone recomend anything.. 03 blob sti i have for those who dont know ..

and not wanting anything thats gona raid the account to much seeing how im on a wedding budget haha

was wanting grooved disks, , not sure if their to low for replacing tho baz

I went for Brembo grooved front disks and performance friction pads on the front of my 04 STI, took a bit for them bed in but holy crap the car stops now bought it all from Scooby Parts as it was the cheapest i could find . Have to say though I would recommend putting on new pads if your changing your disks but that's just me .

I got a set of grooved and drilled from aztec performance as a temp replacement for the fling . £89 cant argue with that price.

pads on them are the ferodo ds500's and only done about 3k on them so newish , will look around then got told that place was fairly cheap

Your pads will have uneven wear Paul, if you put them on new discs they will corroded where the pad doesn't touch them, ruining them before the pads wear flat - you'll rarely get away with it

aww man ... so new pads and discs or new pads and skimmed discs then baz?

I renewed my discs and pads before the Ring but the pads had only done about 3k as well when i changed them, would i be ok to install them on mine now as ive done about 3k since the ring and they need renewed ?

The brembo discs are well meaty - get them skimmed and get some new pads, be cheaper than new (shit) discs and pads I'd imagine.

I'm not with you here Davie, how can you have done 3k in East Kilbride car parks - that doesn't add up?

Its not EK that does the pads in its the constant stopping at either end of the tunnel that knocks them for six !!!

Not sure if they'd fit but i've got a set of Godspeed grooved discs sat in the garage off the hawk. Went on the car in January and came off 2 weeks ago to have the Performance Friction kit fitted. Yours for £100 if they're any good!
