Hi guys new to the forum, my names rob from Plymouth and work with Chris Hornsey. I have a 330bhp 03 sti that I was gona sell but have decided against it. Now it's not my daily runner and it has a space in my garage (after 6 trips to the tip) It is now going to be my toy again. Iv recently just finished doin the 60k service on it and boy is it more responsive (colder plugs?) obviously the do luck panel filter probably helped and refitting my decat down pipe. Im looking at doing a bit of weight loss on her as I think performance wise this helps in every way from torque and speed to balance handling tyre wear etc. anyway that's current plans hoping to meet you all at some point, 1st April run is looking good in the calendar! Cheers lads

Ace!!

Just ordered a KSport 8 pot 330mm front brake upgrade kit. Arm and a leg and the shirt off my back, better hope no classics follow me lol.

Chris those 4 pots are defo up for sale once my new ones have arrived. Just got my refund from the gas and electrickery companies - £500 - so that helps pay for the brakes. 2 clutches, a brake upgrade and my car tax due all in 6 weeks, bah.

Evening,

Good choice Tel. What pads have you gone for?

Due to my driving style I have gone with their recommended K Sport ones. If I do not get on with them then I will go for the Yellow stuff. I do not drive on tracks and I think that the 8 pots do not really need really high performance track pads for these roads, What I do need is good cold performance. I questioned him at some length and decided that their own pads will be good enough for me for normal use, if I decide to track it then maybe upgraded pads will be fitted :)

We shall do our deal on the next meet, looking forward to having brakes fitted to my classic thats actually going to slow me down, but till then, if i was to go into the back of someone else (please be a blue one) then dont worry i do have insurance haha
