davey l wrx Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Put the old Blobeye into Clark Motorsport in Kintore for a pre-MOT check, service and get a few jobs done. One of them was to fit the new angel-eye's headlights i'd bought for it. I have to say they work for me makes the front look slightly different but it looks good to me. They were cheaper than a set of replacement standard headlights - not suprising really with what main dealers charge!
spenno Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 They look good bud! Never seen them on a new age Impreza before.
davey l wrx Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 me neither, spotted them and fancied a change on the old car so i thought why not!
scooby222 Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 liking them Davey, certainly easier than detangoing standards! where did you find them?
davey l wrx Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 I'd already detango'd the standard ones! might have let one 'bake' slightly too long though hence the search for a replacement. http://www.subarubits.co.uk/ Got them form there, smae place i got to do me the Litchfield 400 decals for the new car. Garage said the wiring needed a little bit of adjusting but even they said they looked good quality.
davey l wrx Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 I'll get one tomorrow. Only took the one quick pic as it was pishing down and rather blustery!
davey l wrx Posted December 8, 2011 Author Posted December 8, 2011 I'll sort some pics tomorrow.... Looks like i'll have plenty time, there's a tree down on the main access road to the estate and the only other way out is a farmers track - all mud and pot holes (neither of the scooby's are going down there) but there's a tree down along there as well... Trapped, fortunately i have a fridge full of beer and a scotch egg so i'll soldier on through the hard times
Goofy Posted December 8, 2011 Posted December 8, 2011 Is the dipped beam the hid style white light or is is standard lamps?
davey l wrx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Of the owner or the car baz Shirtless and in leather chapps? I'll get some new pics sorted as soon as it's light enough out there
davey l wrx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Here we are... It's not HID it just has the HID look lenses i do believe.
badbaz Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 LOL, missed that one Matty - sorry Davey, we need side lights only at dusk please
davey l wrx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 LOL, missed that one Matty - sorry Davey, we need side lights only at dusk please jesus.... any more requests...... I'll see what i can do. Might be tomorrow though cos i'll be heading back from elgin in the other car this evening.
davey l wrx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 As a quicky here's the sidelights only, taken a couple of minutes ago... I'll get some darker ones when i can.
davey l wrx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Ok here's the dusk/night shots. Space was tight as it's parked nose into the garage door with the new car blocking it in but i think you get the effect. The more i see them the more i like them!
davey l wrx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Nice mate ware did you get them Linky on page 1...

davey l wrx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 I like them... so does the wench since i'm about to sign the car over to her! I must be mad....
pedscooby Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 Haha it's a nice car bud is that your other scoob in the back of the pic wish I new how to pop u pics on this lol
davey l wrx Posted December 9, 2011 Author Posted December 9, 2011 Yeah thats the new Hawkeye i got from Litchfield Imports. it makes the WRX feel like a 1.1 popular plus. I suppose a twin scroll turbo, 800cc injectors ,uprated fuel pump and a remap will do that. The WRX is getting signed over to the wench and when i decide to get a new job and need an ecconomical car we'll trade in her xsara. Doesn't help that my insurance company will only insure you on 1 car at a time. So i have no choice really. Let her have the hassle of sorting out the insurance next week... that'll be fun to watch. Pic posting is easy, it's a direct link from photobucket. Click on the insert image icon (2 to the right of the smiley face) and paste in the link - check that there aren't 2 http// in there cos that will stop it from posting the pic.
pedscooby Posted December 9, 2011 Posted December 9, 2011 It's the 04 WRX I have just got it abut 3 week agow love it the best car I've had I was going to get a 06 One but I got this one for £5500 and it has all the servicing dun timing belt just dun and it's got a full history and it's only got 44000 on it I don't have this on a pc ore lab top sins my boy counted my lab top so it's my I phone 4 lol won't to get a Fu pics up of it 2 lol so do you'd all meet up ever now and then be good to see sume others 2
davey l wrx Posted December 10, 2011 Author Posted December 10, 2011 Yeah there's meets all over. Depends where you are some area's are more active than others. I've just moved to westhill from Kinloss. So i'm in Aberdeen Scoobies now as well, was in Moray Scoobies - even did the facebook page for them. We used to meet up and have drives, attend car shows, etc. Not exactly the best time of year for meeting up and having a drive though.
