Expert Help needed. Cylinder head identification?

Hi guys and girls,

I am after a set of V5/V6 cylinder heads. As I understand it these will be Version 2 heads. How can I ensure that the ones I buy are correct (Not very trusting of ebay sellers word that they are right). Are there any external differences or codes?

as far as i know the early classics i think have subaru on the rocker cover but the newer is smooth and they use different lifters early use hydralic later r shimmed so ask the seller hopfully u get the rite answer hope it help.

p.s. the inlet manifold bolt holes r in a straight line on early heads on later the middle holes r not in line with the outer holes.

Nice one, I think the bolt holes seem like a good way to tell!
