After spending a small fortune on polish/machine pads ,etc,etc at Polished Bliss a few days ago thought i'd better put them to good use today .Started about 09:30 and finished at 5pm.Snow-foamed twice ,washed and dried then used Mezerna finishing polish on a light cutting pad with my Kestral dual action polishing machine which got rid of a few minor defects/scratches in the paint.Finished of with Blackfire All Finish Paint Protection .Used Wolf's Chemicals Nano Wheel Cleaner (Clean & Coat) on the alloys -this is the first time i've used this and it's an excellent product.Tyres shined up with Autoglym tyre dressing,backbox cleaned with Autosol polish and a wee rub with fine graded steel wool.Although a lot of work i'm really pleased with the outcome,cheers.

Makig me think now too. I need to invest in a machine polisher- I gave my bonnet scoop a rub down and a few fresh coats of paint and lacquer to mask some major flaking. So today I gave it a good rub with Meguiar's 3 step stuff. Looks good I thought, but then I thought I better do the bonnet to see how it all looks! So by the end of it the bonnet, scoop and front bumper were all done in three sepertae stages BY HAND. Looks alot better, but it was a work out and a half! A machine to do the rest of the wagon will be needed me thinks.

Looks good Graeme but you should have been on the fling & got it dirty first :lol:

Thanks Bobby, couldn't make it this year due to changing my work rota and other commitments-pity as i really enjoyed last years run.

Nice.

How did you go about doing the exhaust exactly? Really want to get mine looking shiny as. Ive got myself fine steel wool as you mentioned but im obviously worried about any scratching etc. Ive got the Meguiars stuff for doing that.

Cheers.

Used the steel wool with a spot of Autosol on it ,takes all the tar ,blemishes off it,then buffed it with a microfibre cloth.

Picked these Speedline Turini's up yesterday from a fellow forum user on here -spent all last night machine polishing them to get rid of surface scratches and decided to colour code the centre caps to suit the RB's colour scheme.Have to say i've picked up a great bargain with thses ,Cheers again Graham.

Getting them fitted tomorrow ,then getting the Original RB alloys refurbed at a later date- although ther're in good condition ,just a couple small chips on the paint that's annoying me!!

Here's a pic;
