GazTurboUK Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 Quick question for the insurance people. A lot of insurers wont cover imports as the car on the policy however if that policyholder has the driving other cars extension with that policy would this exclude driving imports as from what I can remember every policy I have had states "Can also drive a vehicle not owned by policyholder providing has permission of vehicle owner" or words to that effect. Cheers in advance Gaz
spect Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I thinl the other vehicle still has to be insured mate!!
GazTurboUK Posted April 2, 2011 Author Posted April 2, 2011 That depends on the insurer mate but that is not what im trying to find out. What i am trying to find out is for example: Driver A insured on Car A with driving other cars extension Driver B insured on Car B which happens to be an import Would Driver A be covered to drive Car B using their driving other cars extension?
jamesm Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 yes third party At the discretion of your insurer. Always check your paperwork. Most policies will cover that situation though.
arch Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 The car your driving on your third party insurance still has to have its own insurance policy in place.
lewisscoob Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Also, in the case of Admiral. I am covered to drive other cars but "only in the event of an emergency"
