Alastair Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Lanark has turned into a nightmare, 40mph from hyndford bridge to the loch then 30mph all the way in, a new 50mph out to ravenstruther and extended 40 out to carnwath. Who came up with this !!! Ruining driving round the area your so busy watching new speed signs you hardly get time to look at the road
StrikE Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 FFS what? wasn't like that last week! It will no doubt be some torry voting cockface sitting in an office with bugger all better to do
dougieboy Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 FFS what? wasn't like that last week! It will no doubt be some torry voting cockface sitting in an office with bugger all better to do totally agree im sick and tired of the roads around here.
thebigfelly Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 not from te area but i think they may be trying to get some ticket revenue in so they can put it towards pothole fixing , i mean its not like they have some tax to give drivers to put their vehicles on the roads even if the roads are full of holes and cracked and dont get gritted, there should be a new taxing system for drivers where your road tax is based on your area and roads you use, you pay a road tax on what ever you think the condition of the roads are that you use, if their full of holes ,dont get gritted and all cracked up , then i dont pay a thing, if the roads are regulary maintained in good nick and gritted and ploughed in severe weather then i pay £200 think id be driving for free going by the state of the roads around my area, saying that im suprised i can drive at all , youd need a monster truck for some of the holes ive seen ,
scoobysailor Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) From what I remember of the area you never reach those speeds anyway because you're usually stuck behind; a. An 80 years old woman peering over the steering wheel doing a steady 25 mph and breaking for every corner. b. A nice farmer dropping mud all over the road and churning it up with his big tractor tyres. c. A big group of lycra clad bicycle riders. d. Me driving like a. above. StrikE Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Just drove these roads tonight, what a farce They have also changed the speed limit from the roundabout at the retail park, its now 30 all the way out to the market..... shunts. 40 now from the bottom of Lanark before you go over the bridge at Cartland into Lanark.........double shunts. An easy cash making point system the nazi's have made now for the people that don't noticed the new signs!
GazTurboUK Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Result of people who dont know how to drive unfortunately.
StrikE Posted April 6, 2011 Posted April 6, 2011 Result of people who dont know how to drive unfortunately. Yup totally
GazTurboUK Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Experienced the new limits first hand over last couple of days, complete and utter joke!!! Another is the law dual carriageway reduced to 50mph yet the single lane stretches surrounding it remain NSL so 60mph
StrikE Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 Oh and it looks like a 40 mph from Kirkfield bank all the way to Rosebank! Get a grip man.........half the auld cnuts drove at less that that speed already and you wonder why people have accidents......... trying in frustration to get by the auld pishers with the new plant pots in the boot...........
