scouk Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Not been posting on here much recently, but couldn't resist posting this one up Shame I've only got about 5 weeks to play with it before 'I' go in for a service
lewisscoob Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 Very nice Al, the lift must be a godsend for underside/brakes! Best of luck with you're "service" chief!
RA Dunk Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 I'm more impressed with the place you've fitted it in.
scooby222 Posted March 23, 2011 Posted March 23, 2011 truly truly jealous Al! and nice to see the new workshops finished too all the best with the service, hope your managing to keep the chin up mate - not going to be the same on the fling without you!
scouk Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 Yeah no more lying outside in 3" of snow in middle of winter changing radiators, clutches and mucking about with wheel bearings.. Already been put to good use.. Fuel tank on the Ka was replaced on tuesday along with a good cleanup and wax underneith.. Got the scoob up on it last night for a poke around.. Bit of TLC required under there particularly the rear brake lines.. Anyone with any tips on how to replace them? Looks like a pig of a job! all the best with the service, hope your managing to keep the chin up mate - not going to be the same on the fling without you! Cheer min... Gutted gonna miss it this year.. And the rest of this year too by the looks of it No keyhole stuff this time.. It's gonna be a wide open job to remove not 1 but 3 tumours WTF!
micra_wrc Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 good job with the garage, love it fingers crossed for your op, hope it goes as planned and you recover quickly x
scoob fae ork Posted March 24, 2011 Posted March 24, 2011 Nice garage mate . I wish you all the best of luck for your op mate and i hope to see you back on here fighting fit very soon
scouk Posted March 24, 2011 Author Posted March 24, 2011 (edited) Cheers guys! Really wantin to get back involved with Scooby stuff again.. It's an itch that needs a damn good scratching! But need to get mysel' sorted first.. Unless someone else in the local area takes on the R/o cap I'll probably be looking to take it on again.. Had some good times while it lasted, and hopefully I'll have more energy and enthusiasm after all this is over.... No matter what the fuel prices will be!! The Scoob's coming for for 10years old next week, so the lift makes a nice wee prezzy for it More than anythign it means I can now look after the underside properly and make sure shes' running as long as possible.. 72k and counting.. One of the main comments that keep comign up when talking to folk about the scoob is just how much they regretted not keeping whatever car they had in their earlier life.. I don't intend to let this scoob go without a fight, too much of my own blood, sweat and tears have gone into this car to simply give it up Already got a couple new parts in mind for the return... But then don't we all, it's never ending.. P.s. No one spotted the MGB GT in the background Edited March 24, 2011 by ScoUK
