Anyone that works offshore. Any ideas where I could keep the scoob when offshore, dyce?

I hear the longstay want you to leave the keys with them. no.

Even someone with space for a small RB320 for 3 weeks at a time would be good :-)

I used Aberdeen airpark for years and have never had an issue.

They do take your keys but believe me your car will not be at any risk it's in a 24hr manned compound and no they don't tare about in your car!!

I now just park at the airport thistle as i have worked out a way of getting free parking

The last time I left my Impreza at the Airpark it got damaged, so I wouldnt recommend leaving your RB320 there.

I bought a runaround to leave at the airpark instead.

Give Gav at Detail Ecosse a call. He can store cars and is based at Newmachar. He can drop you off at the heliport.

You can even have it cleaned for you coming home.

I have a Granny in UKSF excused wearing boots, and a duffle coat with no buttons.

i have parked in the air park for years with no probs, but i have been told of a few people that have had a bump in their car

Aberdeen Airpark for me as well , been leaving my car there for years with no issue, when dealing with the ammount of cars these guys do bumps will always happen I suppose, I have also heard they have fixed every bump they have caused.

Crewed up with Gung ho Yanks, I've been on the Gorilla 7 before and didnt like the mentality of the place TBH.

and the rig was pretty sh1te as well TBH, fooking mahoosive thing it was but absolutely no comfort on it, no comfy sofas to relax on after shift, no TV room, the cabins were pretty decent though :kerstsmiley:

No it wasn't with Rowan I met yer old man Chris, it was one of the Ensco rigs canny mind which one now either the 70, 80, or 85. (On the last count I've been on something like 24 different rigs it's hard to tell who I've met where now lol )

Yea, there's no mercy with Rowan thats "for sure", not my cup of tea TBH.

There'll be plenty of scrubbing on the drill floor especially on a new build, so you wont't be watching the rousties for too long lol :madnoel:

Must have been the 80 then, your old man was pretty good as company man TBH, think I was a Service Operator with Brandt (Skip & Ship) when I bumped into him, Even though I had never seen him before as soon as I seen him for the first time I knew who he was and who his son was :biggrinsanta:
