jebus82 Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 well the wonderfull snow in my street managed to remove my front splitter for me. unfortunately its done it in 2 bits!! subaru looking for 500 quid for a new one painted to match rest of car, but could get an aftermarket black sti one for £180. 2 options are insurance claim+subaru origional one (£150 excess)OR the black sti one, although the gb270 is a limited edition would this be right??? opinions pls thanx jebus
tommo9375 Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 Mate, i've got an RB320 and the subaru front splitter has the STI badge on it ,if i needed to replace it i'd go for the cheaper one as i don't know how Subaru can justify nearly £500 for a piece of plastic!!!
Richie Cross Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 HT Autos for about £100 or would that not look the part? Is the snow just too deep? My car is quite low at the front but have survived so far (touch wood!) Haven't been the first car onto a road with fresh snow though!
bobbyc Posted December 2, 2010 Posted December 2, 2010 (edited) If you want to use the GB in winter it's off with the front splitter, takes about ten minutes, even on original suspension once the car wheels are in the ruts it just acts as a snow plough, be warned the top front bumper brackets can give first then it gets real expensive, remove it every winter is my advice speaking from experience.
