I've had BC's on my car for 9 months now and really like them. I played about with the settings until I found ones that suited me. A bit softer than some others have and recommend but maybe the rural roads I drive on are a bit worse than elsewhere. Had a full 4 wheel alignment set up done with camber bolts and near Prodrive geo settings too which also helps. I say near Prodrive as I didn't go quite as far with the neg camber, somewhere between standard and Prodrive but on the Prodrive side if that makes sense.

Anyhoo, I have few pic's of the car since they were fitted but here goes, should give an indication of ride height. Was lower but damaged my splitter and had to raise 10mm all round.

This was when I was thinking of changing my wheels and put the stock ones back on.

Then there was this once I changed my mind and I put the other wheels back on.

I've had BC's fitted to my STI for the last 12 months / 6,000 miles.

Overall very please although mine did originally knock at the rear; solved by fitted the rear OEM style rubber top mounts. Consider also a set of rear camber bolts to improve the alignment.

It's a relatively easy job to fit yourself if you can undo the strut/hub bolts on the originals. However make sure you get somebody who knows what they are doing to set the ride height and wheel alignment. Mine rides similar to the OEM suspension with the Prodrive springs. Ride quality & handling are much improved over the tired originals! :)

Cheers, Mark

Had BC's on the spec c when i had it. Found them really good with no problems at all for the year and a half they were on the car. Also worth getting the rear strut dampening adjuster extensions to save taking the back seats out to adjust the dampening.

Yep it's going very shortly, White focus RS CHAV-MOBILE coming soon & keeping the RA though as the fun car

*chuckle*

No worries Bobby. Glad you got the sale in these rather hard times. I know your feelings on subaru's current offerings though.

Craig, depends on the amount of running you do. They're probably fine for low mileage and ain't too expensive as coilies go, but they'll need rebuilt every so often... mind you, with subaru's LEGENDARY standard suspension longevity....

I had a set on the RB5 for 18 months and was thoroughly impressed. Only thing is the screw adjustment corrodes pretty quickly. No way I would be able to adjust the ride height now. If I had actually made more of an effort in the first place it maybe wouldn't have been such an issue now though

ahem care to back that up Doc? 2 years and 12k miles with no problems so far - now reaching for everything wooden in sight....

At least the kits are modular and the bits are cheap if you do need to rebuild them!

Worst case a replacement damper is about £50 but I think BC/Apex will rebuild them for less than that.
