Ovv Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Must be cos my car is away to go into storage for the winter shortly, that I find myself looking at other Scooby's for sale, anyways this was on ebay when I originally looked for one earlier in the year. Not keen on how its been advertised, but mileage is attractive.
col666 Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 I wouldnt touch that purely because of the way the advert is written.
Joe G Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Dodgy advert that looks like its written by a NED! Milage doesnt mean everything. It could have done 22k miles and never been properly serviced or as said above had the hole screwed out it on the track for most of its life. My classic has just over 100k on it and you would never know. Feels and drives like a new car. Would wait for another to pop up IMO. And its true what they say, you get what you pay for. Just my 2p's worth.
Ovv Posted November 19, 2010 Author Posted November 19, 2010 with both comments but surely worth a look if someone was hunting for one ?? no? I'm a low mileage person me, but yeah your right it could be all miles done on track. Adverts have to be well written in a normal font, with a neutral color and be well spaced out to get my attention, maybe that's just the designer in me coming out. Think the 1st advert was better if my memory serves me correctly, still not the best way to attract a buyer though is it.

I'm happy enough with the classic I have at the moment. I do like the two door classic shape more though so might look next year for a sti type r, depending on what the mrs will allow it
marko72 Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 P1's are nice cars, low miles is good. Advert isnt the most friendly or informative. Car located on the Isle of Arran, maybe its doddled around the island for the last 10 years, maybe not. Ayrshire scoobies might know it, especially with the distinctive plate. Anyone know Ronnie lol?
Kosy Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Have a look on p1woc. There is always a couple of good ones for sale over there.
scoobywho Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Mind you its on arran not really anywhere to go
subarucraig Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 the guys that annoyed he hasn,t mentioned service history belt changes or anything oops he did say its got floor mats wonder who ronnie is though anyone know ?
wilky Posted November 19, 2010 Posted November 19, 2010 Can you buy SUL on Arran?? PLUS the roads on Arran are hellish, but for 4k I would have it in a heart beat.
lumsden26 Posted November 20, 2010 Posted November 20, 2010 its not advertised well but if i where you i'd ask to see it because the guy who own's it might be fine also if you get it cheap enough with that kind of milage its worth travelling for.Fair enough the guy selling it comes across aggressive might work in your favour by putting people off.
s25yme Posted November 21, 2010 Posted November 21, 2010 Hi Ovv, this will be th 3rd time this car has been on this site. Previously it was up for auction and seller withdrew the. Following week was back for buy it now at £9g + price tag. The number plate was not part of the sale as it is the initials of the actual owner. The car is owned by a doctor and was bought from eaglesham garage. All this was on previous auctions. Can't say anything mechanically about the car itself but unless seller has had a change of heart it won't be cheap. Stuart
Ovv Posted November 21, 2010 Author Posted November 21, 2010 I dug out a screen capture from eBay from last time, remembered why it wasn't so appealing first time around, no service history and only has basic documentation. Shame.
