Finally, my new car

Yesterday I finally got a hold of my new RB320, model 66. I absolutely love it!!

The car came from Slip End Subaru following an engine rebuild after the previous owner ran it dry and shat the big end. They fixed it and provided me with all the receipts and technicians report and the engine has now done just under 400 miles. Finally Slip End gave it to Ian Grieves who sold me the car.

Im running it slowly, working hte gears, building it up slowly and have been pootling around sitting in the slow lane.

Unlike my old STI (version 8), the gear box feels tight, the car feels very solid and has a new competition clutch fitted. I am going to take it back and get the oil changed in a few hundred miles, then give it a while longer before it gets to stretch its legs. Cant wait.

Real issue getting the car in and out of the street without catching the splitter, but ill figure out a way.

Here she is.

Looks a lovely example. Whats the plans for this one then? Staying standard, few mods perhaps? No doubt you will have a few thoughts in your head.

Cheers for the messages. Muchos gracias.

I think well I know I have the receipts in the car for the rebuild. Cant remember if it was Subaru themselves in Slip end or someone else. In fact it was, cos they put some total quarz 7000 oil in it and they double as a citreon garage. Apparently the scoob guy they have their knows his stuff and is highly regarded.

Things under warranty and I will be playing the game in terms of oil changes and taking it in for checks and stuff. that covers me. I also wont be driving it like i stole it.

It will stay standard !! Famous last words.

G- you win tonight, can you buy me a decat and remap? lol
