Well I never did get around to doing a newbie post when I joined up so with this thread I will do a 'Here is my car and what Ive doing wth it since I got her' type thread. I bought this My02 wrx in Dec 08. It is my 1st Impreza, always wanted one blah blah etc etc :rotfl: . I joined up here June 09. It would seem that I have succumbed to the modding bug, as you do, and it has been great fun so far. So here she is when I got her, in all her glorious megastandardness....

Right then, enuff of that, lets get the first basic mod done, up to Hypertech for a Hayward and Scott centre and backbox...

Sounding a bit more like it should then. A bit after this I changed the side markers, repeaters and shoved on some mudflaps,

Around aug last year the engine light was going on and off a few times, new neutral switch was fitted by Dunc. A nameless Sub dealer had indicated that my uppipe may have been on its way out, so i took the decision to fit some other bits and get remapped. Dunc fitted Hayward and Scott uppipe, 2nd cat pipe, uprated fuel pump, plugs etc, resonator box removed. Off I went down to Andy for a remap. Great day, good fun and ended up with an average over the 2 runs with 273bhp 300ftlb. The car was lively as, and I was very happy. :rotfl:

More updates and pics to follow, early start tmw.... ;)

Looks great mate. Looking forward to hearing more.

Excellent pics and familiar backgrounds.

:rotfl:

Yes indeed. You getting your wagon yet? ;)

Next up was to get my sills colour coded. Had thought about getting the twisty style sills but opted to stick with the ones on the car. Also had the front and rear bumper painted. :rotfl:

Not yet. Seen a few that I liked and was tempted by but not ready to buy yet, unfortunately.

You will be happy in the end when you get one, no doubt about it. :D

I had thought about getting new wheels or painting the existing standard alloys, but decided on getting bigger wheels which I thought would sit better. I had to wait a number of months for these to become available, but well happy with the result. Put these on a few months back.

and one more for luck :D

There was a bit of a different feel to the car at first with the bigger wheels. Now it just feels right, and its taking shape to where its going to go...... :D

Thumbs up on the splitter ;) I've been running with one of those for a couple years now and apart from the more agressive look it also helps on those 50+mph corners ;)

Any wider angled shots with the splitter on?

P.s. I ended up colour coding mine..

BTW - How clean is that car!!!

Yep, liking the splitter, and yep bonnet up but you will see why

Very tasteful mods - just goes to show that a Bug WRX has the potential to be a great Scoob (not a fan of the standard car)

Thanks, its getting there, phew lol

Very Nice, the mods are subtle and effective, but will you give in to a big rear spoiler ;)

er, yes!
