i was wondering how to find out if my car has a ecutek license, its a 2003ppp with certificate etc

just to add its a 53 blob and was 265bhp on the rolling road

I was under the impression that Prodrive used ECUTek for their PPP remaps.

Would that mean you would get a slightly cheaper 1st remap from the Andy Forrest, because it has a paid licence, but by another mapper?

I'm sure someone will be along soon with some FACTS for you  .

Only if its been mapped by an ecutek dealer if its just a ppp cetificate then i believe the anwser is no.

the ppp was fitted at izuzi/subaru it included springs, map, grill, lights, diffcover, i think the total was £2120 ive not seen the reciept in a while

2003 car should be 265PS out of the box, PPP should give you more than that!

Ooops, just to clarify, the STI is 265PS, if you've got a WRX then 265 would be about right for PPP!

There's a similar thread over on SN about this too.

Folk are not 100% yes or no to if it is a locked or unlocked Ecutek map by Prodrive on post 2001 PPP cars???

PPP Ecutek thread

Why don't you fire off a quick email to Andy Forrest, that should clear it up one way or another?

My car is a MY05 PPP and when Andy remapped it, I paid full whack.

I know of people who have gone along for a map to be told by Andy it's already been

done so I'm guessing he would have told me if there was a licence already.

i was hoping i would n't have to pay full whack i will probably give him an email as stated above

Was your car not mapped after its recent rebuild? ( i may have the wrong person though )

but IF ppp uses ecutek as this is the selling point for some ecutek mappers shourly the license should be there already.

yep thats me its now mapped to 318/310 but only had it mapped where i did because the were wavering costs because it died on there rolling road id still prefere it done by andy forrest and id get that done sooner without paying a license , it was just a thread i read earlier got me thinking, and no it was not an ecutek mapp that was done after the build
