Spaceman Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Banter's banter mate but have you had a look at the quater miles times subarus have posted on this board? What sort of time would expect the ford crew to be able to come up with? Genuine question btw.Would you be looking for Andrew G to save the rest of you? yup am purely talking pishi know my St is nowhere near as quick as tunned scoobs 1/4 ile times im not sure tbh ill have a looksee though. would be cool to see the 2 marks together my two favs over any. Sounds to me like you've volunteered for some event organising mate! You'll note I left the bit of your quote out about the fords winning though! *lol* Seriously though, that would be a cracking day... make it so! ill stick a post up on STOC and RSOC see what the response is and let you`s know.
braveheart Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 I'll be up for some of that but make it summer as my car will be ready by then.Nice one Greig 2012 sorry couldnt resist Peter

fai17 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 2012 sorry couldnt resist Peter I didn't know it'll be ready that soon
colin_ross Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 When was the last time you drove it Peter? I thought the whole point of putting it in a garage was so it got done quickly?
fai17 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 The work they have done isn't exactly your normal off the shelf parts. Its a garage sponsored car so work is done when they are free. Its getting a full strip down in the chassis department and powder coated. Then new Whiteline and Superpro bushes to replace all the old ones to rebuild the chassis from the ground up. And maybe even fit some Ohlins
colin_ross Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Impressive. Just as well you're not paying for all of that.
Maxxed_Ross Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 There no very quick are they????? As i found out yesterday. davie I had a similar thing happen a few weeks back - and he was trying
RS Grant Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I don't think a mapped Hawkeye STi/RB320 would absolutely leave a new Focus RS, it would be a good race (probably with the Imprezas coming out on top) if both cars were being driven properly IMO. Cheers, Grant
david_taylor Posted March 28, 2010 Posted March 28, 2010 I have had my Mk2 RS for a couple of weeks and have had a few scoobs - old age and new! Handles a million times better than my old sccob, especially in the wet!!
Frank_STI Posted March 30, 2010 Posted March 30, 2010 Since my scooby got stolen and smashed I bought an FRS Mk2 to keep me occupied while I build another scooby and I must say it is a phenomenal car and really impressed me for front wheel drive. Standard FRS Mk2 vs Standard impreza sti, having driven both....back roads FRS would win, on the motor way FRS would win, off the line Impreza would have it, for looks the FRS wins. A modified impreza is a total different matter of course. However, i'd replace it with my "modified" impreza in a heart beat!
