RA Dunk Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 I don`t drool just wake up with a Stoner I normally wke up with a boner but what the hell
sti pretender Posted March 22, 2010 Posted March 22, 2010 Im going to map my ST then it will really be able to pump the modded classics too at crail. My mate at work has a modded ST (custom map 307bhp/367lbs) and swears my Type R is still quicker. He upgraded to an RS clutch which has made a difference, I think we'd be quite closes as long as he could get then power down. What about an ST v lightly modded classic day?
braveheart Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Im going to map my ST then it will really be able to pump the modded classics too at crail. Ill look forward to that one
colin_ross Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Subaru vs Ford day ? That wouldn't take a full day. Sure we could finished them off before lunch.
mic Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Surely even a tuned st with 300bhp ish, would seriously struggle with a lightly modded classic? Fwd vs 4wd plus classic gotta have a couple hundred kg less?
RA Dunk Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Surely even a tuned st with 300bhp ish, would seriously struggle with a lightly modded classic? Fwd vs 4wd plus classic gotta have a couple hundred kg less? With the added weight of 4WD over the RS I think the weights would be quite similar over all, remember a 4WD set up is quite heavy
braveheart Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 That wouldn't take a full day. Sure we could finished them off before lunch. agreed
fai17 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 That wouldn't take a full day. Sure we could finished them off before lunch. At least the ford might turn up in bigger numbers And get a half decent race
fai17 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Subaru vs Ford day ? There are some seriously rapid cossies that are stored away in their garage. Not that i'm scared!
fai17 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 fair point JC, and they would be even smaller in a modded classics mirror fair point Dunc but i would need my binoculars to see them in my rv mirror
Spaceman Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 That wouldn't take a full day. Sure we could finished them off before lunch. might be finished before lunch but only if those old 4wd systems pack in! lol Surely even a tuned st with 300bhp ish, would seriously struggle with a lightly modded classic? Fwd vs 4wd plus classic gotta have a couple hundred kg less? Nope 4wd bogs down and larger transmission losses plus the Torque that the 5pot chucks out is mental. With the added weight of 4WD over the RS I think the weights would be quite similar over all, remember a 4WD set up is quite heavy Forget the RS there are even heavier than an st and by a fair bit! A wee show off against scoobs and fordy boys could be a good laugh tho on a serious note. big turnouts at crail from RSOC and STOC if wee got a good dry day some of the more highly tunned fwd st and rs would suprise id think once they can put the torque down. if in the summer and the cosworths are out the garage, now high powered scoobs against high powered ESCOS now that would be cool old school vs new school.
fai17 Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 if in the summer and the cosworths are out the garage, now high powered scoobs against high powered ESCOS now that would be cool old school vs new school. ooooo i like that sound of that.....i know of a certain RS200 that might come out to play for that

That would be a cracking day out IMO, Think JC Scoob organised one VS the Capri guys a few years back, it rained on the day so that was them fecked
Skidmarkmccormack Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 spaceman. i know the ford would win. as it will still be running after the 3rd run.
colin_ross Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 spaceman.i know the ford would win. as it will still be running after the 3rd run. Yeah but it would still be on it's first.
Spaceman Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 in all serious now boys if you`d be interested i could ask bout on RSOC and the STOC see how they fancy it. call it battle of the Blue Ovals and there can be only one winner of that and its the Ford boys
colin_ross Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Banter's banter mate but have you had a look at the quater miles times subarus have posted on this board? What sort of time would expect the ford crew to be able to come up with? Genuine question btw. Would you be looking for Andrew G to save the rest of you?
braveheart Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 (edited) spaceman.i know the ford would win. as it will still be running after the 3rd run. mmm I beleive I drove to Crail done about 13 runs and drove back all the way to Livingston at the national speed limit of course im defoo up for spanking some fords as i owend a few 1.8 converted RS Turbo and 4x4 Cosworth so im not biast at all love the fords not as much as the Suby tho.. bring it on Ooohh ill be running high boost this time Edited March 23, 2010 by braveheart
