rig-pig Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 scratch/gouge in the front bumper sorry no pics but gary and Jase (green goblin) has seen the scratch that was in the bumper anyway went into chips away in dundee and got a quote for the repair and booked the car for wed just passed, now the gouge and scratch must of been about 6 inches long and right down to the plastic, dropped the car in at 9 and left it all day when i picked the car up it was a top job and perfect match for colour as some of you might know the Subaru black has a lot of gold flake in it and can be hard to blend in but top job and would recommend to anyone needing a small repair done
Sleiper Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 just out of interest mate what do they charge for the likes of that?
notsosmall Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 Glad you got it sorted and its up to your standard mate Ive heard a few people that have had good work done from there thats my work just thru the blue fence at his front door I popped round for a quote before and his work looked spot on, never used him though as i had too many small bits here and there so i just went to a body shop and got the lot painted
sparky_sj04 Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 I just used the Chips Away in Glasgow (Cumberland Street) to get my bumpers and bonnet painted and they were really good.. First rate job. It all depends on who is doing the work I suppose.. It's the employee not the company that does the job after all...
p1ggm Posted March 12, 2010 Posted March 12, 2010 used him a few times, always a great job there, much better than the mobile boy that used to go about

These places are franchised businesses so not really employees, it in there own best interest to do a good job or they wouldn't get customers coming back
sparky_sj04 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 I think you missed my point mate. That's exactly what I meant. Maybe Should of said 'individual' and not 'employee'. Then again if they are employed by a company (or franchised business) then they are an employee.
