Flathead Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Hi Connor i hope they find the dog soon and it all turns out okay for them !
Connor_scotland Posted February 17, 2010 Author Posted February 17, 2010 Cheers mate, they are gutted about it :-( Fingers crossed tho!!
scooby doom Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 (edited) This is only about 8 miles from me so will keep an eye out. Pity my missus' car's (dog transporter) off the road just now or I'd have taken my dog up that way for a wander just in case. Didn't know whether you'd reported it or not but I've spoken to my colleauges at Rothes and made them aware in case anyone reports finding Dougal. You may also want to try the dog warden who would uplift dogs during 'working hours' and check the local kennels in case he's been found and handed in. In Moray all found dogs are taken to either Brumley Brae in Elgin or Bauds on the A98 opposite The Wakes garage near Cullen. I'll pop this up on SS.net too. Anyhoo, hope the poor lad turns up safe and well. Edited February 18, 2010 by Scooby Doom
scouk Posted February 18, 2010 Posted February 18, 2010 I work down near there, at the Orton Estate... If I hear or see of anythign I'll be sure to be in touch Border Collies can go a fair distance if they want to... Unforunately mines so stubborn she only comes back when she wants (Wimmen!), seems quite happy going for a run through the woods out of sight.. Never actually lost her though..
Connor_scotland Posted March 16, 2010 Author Posted March 16, 2010 Just to let you all know the dog was found but unfortuntely it was hit by a train, The scot rail guys were kind enough to bury the dog where it happend, they noticed the dog on one of the posters and contacted my mate. Very nice of them to do that.

scouk Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 That's horrible news... .. Good on the scotrail boys for doing that.. Was asking folk to look out when they were walking their dogs in that area. Also got one of the posters in at work the day after my last post and made sure it got passed around the Estate..
Jon B Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Sorry to hear that mate... good of the scotrail guys to do what they done.....
Connor_scotland Posted March 17, 2010 Author Posted March 17, 2010 They feel a bit better knowing "the outcome" instead of always wondering where the dog is. Cheers lads.
