Wee Jock Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 (edited) I want to replace the coilovers on my Hawkeye STi, I want to stay away from coilovers! I am having the droplinks and antiroll bars changed for Whiteline items and I need some advice on the best adjustable struts and springs to suit. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks Any RB320 owners who have driven the Hawkeye STi, how does the Prodrive suspension/ handling compare between the two? Edited January 28, 2010 by Wee Jock
rig-pig Posted January 26, 2010 Posted January 26, 2010 im the same im going to go with eibach springs, if they are good enough to make springs for Prodrive and Rodger Clarke Motorsport im more than happy to buy some

Thanks Any RB320 owners who have driven the Hawkeye STi, how does the Prodrive suspension/ handling compare between the two? just put on prodrive springs and a carbon strut on my sti (05) car feels great and looks a bit more aggresive, they are not to solid and can still use comfortably each day

Had KYG adjustable and Eibach springs on my Classic and it was spot on, It might be Im expecting too much from me car!
scouk Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 RB320's have Bilstein Shocks, and perform very well, quite firm yet smooth out the bumps very well! But the origonal ones are very chocolately and suffer from the clunk of death.. Thankfully they have a warranty service in place where owners "should" be able to get them replaced under warranty but some dealers are more willing than others to replace them.. Fortunately As of last year (IIRC) they have fixed the problem and more recent replacements are more solid.. But still some customers having trouble getting dealers to replace them I've got KYB's on my bugeye but they only lasted about 8 months before going squishy.. Their not too bad but not as good as they could be.. Looking towards fitting BC coilovers sometime in the future.. at least they are adjustable if I find them too hard or soft
the_ex_leper Posted January 29, 2010 Posted January 29, 2010 the rb drive so much nicer much more planted on the road its a bit firmer but thats cool it does exactly what its ment to and really help kill the understeer
