Loose Hose

I need a spot of help. ive discovered a loose hose round the back of my classics phase 2 manifold and dont have a clue where its supposed to go. the offending item is shown below. whats the name of sensor and where is the hose supposed to be connected to? thanks.

i did have a look round for any nipples not connected but will give manifold a further inspection just now.

I think on the Phase 2 engines this pipe is fitted on top near to the throttle body.

cant find any spare holes on manifold. i think its been pinched for boost gauge, will tee it in. cheers.

Can you take a pic of your engine and post it up mate just to be sure :lol:

That port is usually blanked off and is commonly used for fitting a boost gauge, the pipe you are looking for should be up near the throttle body.

I have just been out to look at 2 (phase 2) engines and they both have the pipe fitted in the position shown below, it looks like your pipe/nipple may have been snapped off.

The pipe you are looking for should fit to a nipple on the throttle body next to where (RTR60-35) is marked on the top of the throttle body.

cheers iain ive now found where it should go. top dead centre of throttle body. there is small hole where nipple should be but its been snapped off. looks like i will have to get replacement body.

that said can't u just block up the hole where the nipple was and tee into the the dump valve line????? would do as temp fix????

aye blocked it just now. nipples seem to be push fit as i removed one from my phase 1.5 car and another from a back up turbo. will take throttle body off and extract reminants of old one at weekend.

which reminds me id better get new gasket ordered.
