millsy13 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Just wondering if anyone has done any engine upgrades/mods to a hatch in the club yet? Just looking for any information of products anyone would recommend/avoid and any problems encountered.
StrikE Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 Hi, There is a thread over HERE on SN, bit disappointed that this forum doesn't have the same 'in depth' topics as such. I have been reading this from the start, good topic. Also on here, the yanks seem to have a stronger embrace regarding the hatch than folks over here! You will spend a few hours reading the topics in this forum http://www.iwsti.com/forums/ Hope that helps Del
wrxmania Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 The hatch is really popular in the states and it's becoming more so here. Mine is due tomorrow...I'll not be doing any major mods on the engine or suspension...and will try to do very little for as long as possible (but we're likely counting in weeks here ) Brian
paul555sti Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 I dont have one myself if i had the spare cash i would definately have one parked next to my classic. I assume you have read this thread from scoobynet. http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general...ne-failure.html I would be wary of doing to much to it whilst it still has warrenty,
scoobyseller555 Posted January 7, 2010 Posted January 7, 2010 only an issue if the fuel remap hasn't been carried out,or if you have a parallel import as no notification of the remap would be given. Gav
millsy13 Posted January 8, 2010 Author Posted January 8, 2010 I got my dealer to check this out when I heard about it but it was fine, my car was PPP pretty much after 1000 miles and the ppp map installed. (which I have been told is fine)

Springs etc are available for the STI (Tein etc making parts so plenty for the car) and the usual range of accessories available on the Subaru site. Brian.
hatchback_chris Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I put on the prodrive springs + 18" GT1 alloys from prodrive and it made more of a difference than expected. In a good way:)
AliT Posted January 17, 2010 Posted January 17, 2010 I'll be sticking to OEM options until teh warranty is up and it's paid for!
