Stereo Install - Now Sorted

Over the weekend I installed a replacement stereo, pioneer, and all went well untill I tried it out, the radio tuner would not tune into any stations, drove to a different area and would only pick up 1 or 2 stations, I could manually tune it to radio1 but it wouldnt lock or retune etc.

Has anyone else had a problem when changing the stereo on a MY06 with the integral areial? If so, what did you do to fix it? It could always be the stereo thats faulty.

I had a similar problem with my STi. It turned out to be a bent pin on my ISO adapter. Worth checking all the pin connections are good.

I have just phoned the place I bought the stereo from and apparently the integral arial is a powered/boosted one, so needs to be connected to the loom adapter, I will have a go with it this evening and see. Sounds a plausible reason I suppose.

Well, I have just taken the stereo out again and it was the power antenna that needed to be connected, as it has a signal amplifyer. All sorted now and I can pick up LOADS of stations.
