jacko324
Looking for some help here , strong smell of fuel when starting the car then disappears when driven for a short period of time. Have checked for leaks but can not see fuel anywhere. Car is 2004 wrx. Any help would be greatly appreciated, to help point me in right direction. cullenmin
Check the connections are tight on your fuel pressure regulator. I once had the same problem and it turned out i had a very small weep from one of the connections Rich Link to comment
jacko324
I did have another look at the engine bay last night think i may have a wee exhaust blow at manifold but couldn't see because of heat shields in the way, do you think this could be the cause of smell? cullenmin
Wouldnt think so but you should get that fixed too. Look under the car at the fuel tank and check for any leaks. Follow the fuel lines back to the engine bay, have a look at the fuel rails on each side. Its coming from somewhere, you just need to find it Rich Link to comment

If nnot where does the fuel tank breather go to? Full exhaust system, injectors, vf34,fuel pump, sti intercooler. Have had vehicle up on ramp to check fuel tank and lines all ok . checked injectors and fuel lines at engine ,nothing no fuel. Only fault with car is slight blow at exhaust manifold gasket. oh and all mods have been on the scoob for a while now, so not down to fitment. Link to comment
