mctwistuk Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Had a set of front pads fitted to my car a few months back and recently my car developed a clunking noise when slowing down to a stop. After much hunting about (APS CAI etc) i think i have finally found the source of the noise. It seems to be from the front drivers side brake shoe. It looks as though the pad has a wee bit of front to back play in it and this means that every now and again when braking either going forward or reversing the pad moves slightly. Has anyone else experienced this with these pads. Apart from that the pads are great. Guess it is just another reason to turn up the stereo that bit louder lol. cheers Chris
Rednosespeccltd Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 No mate, i have had mine on for about 5k now, apert from them maybe wearing quicker than i thought and coating my alloys in severe brake dust they have been great. i have the discs as well and the fade free braking on long runs has been excellent.
