Mot Fail

Hi folks,

just failed on emissions today. the guy said that i needed a new cat. i have a full 3" exhaust with a sports cat that i inherited when i bought the car so i have no idea who made it.

do i just get somone to weld a new one in? if so where should i go? im in glasgow.

Hi mate you could try C&C customstainless steel exhausts in Hilington just round from the Harvester .

ha, might not be mate but it the only thing catlike on the pipe. i have a receipt that says, supply and fit full 3" exhaust with sport cat. so im only assuming.

Well how much did it fail by mate, because If it was only a short trip to the MOT station, then the Cat might not have been hot enough to be working efficiently... I've heard before, that before you put it through the MOT give the car a good blast over the back roads before putting it in then test it... and it should pass...
