Opinion's On Both Cars Too Please - Further Progress - See Post 32

Hi All,

Looking at buying a run around and have the one below in mind, really like the car, but the wheels I am not too keen on. If anyone can do some wizardry and magic some pics of the car with good rims it would be much appreiated, looking to keep them gold, up to 18" and as close to a rally look as possible.

Just seen another and as it's a Scottish car wondered if anyone knew anything about the car - looks tidy!!!! Pics and spec below the 555 ad.

MY IMPREZA IS ABSOLUTALY IMMACULATE INSIDE AND OUT, THE EXTERIOR IS IN 555 BLUE, THE ONLY COLOUR THEY MADE THIS CAR IN. THE BODYWORK IS IN A1 CONDITION WITH NO DENTS OR SCUFFS, HOWEVER THERE IS 1 VERY SMALL SCRATCH ON THE FRONT BUMPER THAT IS NOT NOTICABLE.

THE VINYLS CAN BE EASLY REMOVED WITH OUT DAMAGE!!

THE INTERIOR IS ALSO IN SHOWROOM CONDITION WITH NO SCAGS OR SCUFFS ON THE SEATS OR ANYWHERE ELSE.

THIS CAR HAS NEVER BEEN SMOKED IN!!

IT HAS ONLY 82000 MILES ON THE CLOCK MOST OF THEM BEING KILOMETERS.

I ALWAYS CHANGE THE OIL WITHOUT FAIL EVERY 1500 MILES OR EVERY 3 MONTHS WHICH EVER COMES FIRST, I ONLY USE MOBIL 1 FULLY SYNTHETIC OILS. GEAR BOX OIL AND DIFF OILS ARE CHANGED ON EVERY OTHER OIL CHANGE USING MOBIL 1 FULLY SYNTHETIC GEAR OIL. WHEN DUE FOR A THIRD OIL CHANGE (4500 MILES) I HAVE A FULL SERVICE DONE.

I ONLY USE SUPER UNLEADED FUEL AND NEVER LET IT RUN UNDER A QUATER OF A TANK.

THERE IS NO KNOWN FAULTS WITH THIS CAR, APART FROM MY BLITZ AFTER MARKET WATER TEMP GAUGE IT LIGHTS UP BUT ONLY WORKS WHEN IT WANTS TO, POSSIBLE LOOSE CONECTION OR SOMTHING I WILL DO MY BEST TO GET THIS SORTED FOR THE WINNER BY THE TIME THIS AUCTION ENDS, THATS ALL THAT NEEDS DOING.

COMES WITH SOME SPARE BITS AND PIECES THAT I HAVE FOR IT INCLUDES THE 3 ORIGINAL BONNET VENTS.

Revolution Millenniums look the biz! Got them on my blobeye but look good on classics too!!!!!!

Mine are 18x8 but they do them for classic @ 18x7.5.

Another vote for the milleniums although i am slightly bias here how it could look.

Gary i would question the power figures, is it still on the standard top mount intercooler , injectors and turbo and ecu ? Has it been remapped?

Yeh i agree......he doesnt seem to really have done anything that would bring the bhp up to what he says!!!!! i smell sh't!!!!!

the car with the white wheels belongs to gordon shek i think he lives down ayr way and used to frequent the forums. i think he bought it from a guy on here a few y ears ago maybe coulty or playsatan might now more about that car.

Had 18" Speedline Turinis on my old classic. Plenty of frrom for STi Brembos :crying:

Funny you should post these as I have 2 in white in my garage from the rally car I sold at the end of last year. If it was the first car I think I would need to keep it gold to be as close to authentic as poss with the best look.

Think Gordon sold the car a while ago, will be a good car if he owned it. Think the car was from Troon before he got it aswell

Thats ironic, i lived in Troon when i had mine(my 5th pic is at Troon beach) W***ASB was the plate although i had S500BY K on it at the time.

Cant be the same one surely! It should be dead by now lol.

`The guy that owns it now bought it from gordon Shrek last year i think and he bought it from Murray who used to be on here.

You will find the car is now for sale again over on the other scottishscoobbies.net ;0)

When Murray owned it it was AWD & Harvey that done 95% of the work on it so it had the best of everything fitted and Murray lived in Troon! lol

Just found out that the 2nd car here is a UK2000, which although a great car in it's own right, I have my heart on something a wee bit more Type R or RAish. Will need to be convinced otherwise if I was to buy it.

Seen this one though that also looks quite a good buy;

Ad reads;

sti type ra 5th injector model #268/555 made to celabrate mcrae winning the 1995 world rally championship, 70,000 miles. this car is an import, i am the 1st uk owner and have only owened it for 8 months but due to baby comming its got to go, it has full stainless exhaust system 18" revolution alloys only 4 month old and cost over £1000, proper subaru mud flaps. there is abselutly no rust on this car due to it never having been used in winter when the roads are salted, it also has the roof vent, diff controller, close ratio gear box and quick rack steering as standard.

Other info gained since reading ad;

Just around the £5k mark would secire it me thinks, whats everyones thoughts??? Just e-mailed him to see what the power figures are.
