lumsden26 Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 was considering taking my car to andy for remap on standard parts was just wondering theres much point as car was mapped with ecu tek ecu to 266bhp previously. Also what would this cost me?
C_WRX Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 (edited) Without knowing the year/model car, initial thoughts are wouldn't be worthwhile. You could replace some bits, e.g. various exhaust sections, without needing a remap then when you get to a stage where it does need a remap + maybe some other mods to get fitted it'll feel more worthwhile?? Have a read through this for costs. http://www.andyforrestperformance.co.uk/16280.html Edited August 21, 2009 by C_WRX
Richie Cross Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 I was keen to get a remap with just some exhaust mods. Andy said I'd get a wee bit more but in the end I waited til I got some other parts and did it all at once. Definitely worth the wait!!!
P1_Paul Posted August 21, 2009 Posted August 21, 2009 You want to remap an already remapped stock car? I don't understand why you'd want to do that?
lumsden26 Posted August 22, 2009 Author Posted August 22, 2009 You want to remap an already remapped stock car? I don't understand why you'd want to do that? i get sh*t loads of power then tails off not really a smooth flow, also have heard you can get more than 266bhp on stock internals. its a turbo 2000 x plate with upgraded fuel pump, and back box. I've als been told you can get 290 bhp on stock???
dipsy Posted August 22, 2009 Posted August 22, 2009 http://andyforrestperformance.co.uk/58730.html .Have a read of this .These are the mods you will need to see any more power
