scoobytibs Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 To be as honest as i can hol i couldnt give a toss i dont really know alot about subarus except i like the sound ,like the look and enjoy driving them as for a new site being a bad idea there could be 200 different clubs and it wouldnt bother me , i go to all subaru meets not bothered who organises them just to have a laugh and a good blast out in the scoobs .. i do however think that the club thing is taken to seriously sometimes everyone should just chill out and waste some v power and thats my opinion
HOL Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 as for a new site being a bad idea there could be 200 different clubs and it wouldnt bother me , Thanks for the comment, However, im not sure what you mean by different club? - there is and always will be only the one Kent Scoobies club. We just moved here from Scoobynet. The question is why a new site- that can offer so much more flexibility and actually be run for people in Kent, is a bad idea?
scoobytibs Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 (edited) by different clubs i mean kent scoobies , s.e.s , e.s.c , sidc and scoobynet i go on them all and if there doing anything exciting i will get involved so if kent scoobies do anything along those lines i will tag along . i personally dont enjoy meets because when it comes to tech talk i havent got a clue thats why i never stay long plus not a very good record for driving when ive been in a pub more scooby clubs in kent the better gives me more choice its not a bad idea so bring it on bigger club the better and get some good group buys aswell Edited August 12, 2009 by scoobytibs
mikkers Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Did you actually want to go???or, is this just another one of your posts where you criticise everyone around you??? IF, you are actually going, then do feel free to organise the convoy up there.. No-one has ever stopped common sense from prevailing! Common sense also says one club only needs one forum. If organisation of events and the mobilisation of the club is up to the individual then why has kent scoobies always had a leader? And ill informed claptrap? OK, whatever lol. There wasn't anything in my post that depended on information, incorrect or otherwise. Nor did it criticise anyone, I was just making an observation. And I have other ideas about who comes on here to stir things up, as highlighted by recent posts.
HOL Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 Common sense also says one club only needs one forum. I think that is an absolute given. There should only be one forum. Hence, the open question to all individuals as to why the idea of moving from discussing KentScoobies business on someone else site to a KentScoobies own dedicated forum is being viewed with distrust? When it can give the club so much more. The only parallel I could think of - is the following scenario. You have been using a loan/hire car for a long time in your work. The car does not belong to you, or belong to the company you work for- but you are allowed to use it whenever you want. Your company provides you with a brand new car that YOU will own which has more extras and features than the loan car. In addition the loan car will still be around should you ever wish to go back and use it for any purpose.. Why would you turn down a brand new free car????

I think more details need to be put forward before people would be willing to move, with a clear structure. I had heard it said the members will decide these things but I think something should be in place before hand as with no real idea of what would change or improve people may be unwilling to move.
