green_goblin Posted July 25, 2009 Posted July 25, 2009 Luvin the white wheels mate!!! looking good!!! Jase
DR Motosport Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 Quick pic of my 2 pride and joys. I can see similar tastes here.
tommo9375 Posted July 31, 2009 Author Posted July 31, 2009 Nice couple of scooby's you got and yes similar taste.I was wondering would i be better changing the drivers side small bonnet vent for a scoop type like yours as i've got an induction filter fitted.
DR Motosport Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I fitted the scoop, an air duct from the fog lamp cover up to the bottom of the induction kit. Removed the rubber trim from the bonnet that closes down onto the headlight to leave a gap, and fitted a heat shield between the engine and induction kit. On a day with an outside temperature of 8 deg, I fitted a temperature probe to the filter and it was 12 deg. Without the scoops and vents it was over 30-36 deg, and with the standard airbox and panel filter it was 21 deg. So you can get induction kits to work better than a panel filter - but only if you get enough air to it.
simon_mcwilliam Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 I have a drivers side scoop in my garage for sale if you are interested. it is off of my97 wagon.

Theyre not very good in the rain though graeme, water + air filter doesnt go well. Worth keeping in mind. Oh I have one in my garage also Rich
tommo9375 Posted September 15, 2009 Author Posted September 15, 2009 Not done much to the RA in the last couple months, stripped the 4 pot caliper on the passenger side and fitted new seals- other one still to do when i get the chance, also fitted clear lenses to the indicators (front /side) and i've taken off my white wheels for the winter and put on some 'black' sti 16" ones i bought a from RADunk and resprayed myself. A couple rubbish pics-you can't really make out the alloys due to a rubbish camera and fading light ,but i'm liking the white/black combo . I've got a air/fuel gauge fitted and it's now stopped working -car hasn't been used ,just taken for a 5 minute run every week so don't know why it's not working- anybody any ideas ??? Doesn't look like i'll get it on the track this year due to dates not working in with my work rota- - never mind.
tommo9375 Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 (edited) Had a bit of spare time today so washed the car -any excuse to get the camera out on a sunny day. Edited March 19, 2010 by tommo9375
frank c Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Looking good.. I prefer it with the black wheels tbh . The white and black works well Gave mine a wee clean at the weekend aswell... Still a few things needing done but i'll get there in the end....
tommo9375 Posted September 17, 2009 Author Posted September 17, 2009 That's one very nice looking classic you got FrankC ,Love the black wheels.
frank c Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Cheers bud. Tbh, i never really liked the thought of black wheels to begin with.. I've always went with silver in the past. That's how they came when i bought them and think they look not too bad along with the dark windows etc.... Looks like yours is coming along nicely Keep up the good work !
wulsey Posted September 18, 2009 Posted September 18, 2009 Looking good tommo. You canny beat the white & black combo.

Took it out for a good run and can't stop smiling, it just seems so rapid and quick off the mark.Makes the Bugeye feel slow.... Bring on Knockhill - can't wait.
