braveheart Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 (edited) Well folks speaking to Stevie about the cage, and once he measured it all up noticed that me defi gauges on the driver pillar need to go or the cage will not go in, so on that note im looking at fitting them on the centre of the dash.. 3 gauges 60mm.. has any one done this to there Classic and if so where did you buy the pod mount, and does anybody have pics to show how and where they put them... any advise will be appreciated and a early thanks for advise... Cheers Chris Edited June 11, 2009 by braveheart
johnnyr6 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 If it's a facelift you can simply put them on top of the dash in a pod. If it's pre facelift then you can still get a pod but imho they don't look right. each to their own though. I would personally work something out in the centre consul. Johnny
colin_ross Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Johnny's right. Facelift is ok but pre facelift it just looks stuck on. If the car has a cage then I assume it's a track car? Rip out the stereo and heater controls and mount a sheet of ally or cf with some 60mm holes in it.
drb5 Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 It looks stuck on...because it is. I had a 3 gauge pod in my old RA and thought it looked fine. Can't remember where i bought it mind you.

Milsport do a nice one for the pre face lift the replace the two center heater vents but its for 52mm defi's. I havent seen one for 60mm ones.
RA Dunk Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 if its the older one couldent he fit a pod then get the dash and pod flocked ?
