Jamessti Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Did you go to the same school of motoring as Shiralee? I've that there is a scam arounding around, with people braking heavily.

Will wait and see what insurance company say

big jay Posted June 11, 2009 Author Posted June 11, 2009 Got a phone call today...................they've written it off.
col_2 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Got a phone call today...................they've written it off. sorry to hear that, but its not all bad!!! you might get a deal half cash & keep car or get the cash & buy an evo
baser999 Posted June 11, 2009 Posted June 11, 2009 Got a phone call today...................they've written it off. That seems harsh, unless I had a very generous assessor. Mines on an 00 plate and was hit along the side by a bus - needed new wing, door . . .damage around £1200 which must have been in the order of 25% of the cars value? No problem. Then a month later the second accident - smacked the front end in - new bonnet, aircon rad, bar across front, both headlights. . .around £2300 . . which looks far more than yours. Perhaps I was just fortunate
matthew_buckland Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Jay that sucks, i no the body shop i go to can do a thing where second hand parts are sourced therefore keeping the cost down, the insurers are usually happy to go along with this. But i guess thats a bit late now if its already been written off will you buy her back?
ScoobyShep Posted June 12, 2009 Posted June 12, 2009 Sucks RSe mate seems a bit harsh. Sorry to hear it mate.
