Without seeing the front of the car is there anyway of running that flexi pipe to the front? Maybe behind a grill saves you drilling the fog cover

Until you get a FMIC the pipe and heat shield would work well together

Without a FMIC fitted, the standard airbox with enlarged inlet hole, removed resinator box and decent panel filter is the best and safest cold air option for the classic scoob.

the flexi goes to the slots just under the indicator...

i'll get a spare fog cover, then can always change it if i dont like it....

change of subject.....did you contact that company yet mate??????

I wouldn't know but do you want to be shielding the cone off. I agree at the moment it's taking warm air in from the engine which isn't great but with it partly covered will it be getting enough air.

If the hose that we duct to the front bumper is of equal or slightly larger diameter then surly the only restriction is the size of the inlet hole in the original sensor pipe and the inlet hole in the manifold?? It doesn't matter how big your filter is if that air cant go anywhere after it???? Just some thoughts :D

Chris, just eating my toast now :D won't be a mo..............

Have you found the diameter of the pipe you want to run into your wing yet?? We can't just make that silly filter shield you found in the above post, its just no where near complicated enough :) Plus it doesn't look like it needs any welding so you wont be able to use your new found skill..........I hope you have your learning head on today B)

i had all these done ,mate.except enlarged i/hole...

but got filter at a stupid price so had to have it..

car is more responsive with this on,comes on boost better and feels just more like a car of this breed should..

and have that scoop,so thought it looked a bit stupid,as it was blowing cold air on the air box

The enlarged hole in the airbox makes all the difference plus it is getting the cold air feed direct from the wing, it was just an idea mate :D

Hi mate. I have no idea for a price. I make loads of things for my mates and my old man, normally the only problem is time. I don't really do stuff for the money, I just like making things for my mates and them to have cool stuff. There is normally no way I could charge people what the things actually cost because it would be extortionate. Things just take so long to make by hand. We are quiet at work at the mo so when we have done Chris's shroud we could try and work out a break even price and make one for you in company time, that way it would be done this side of christmas :D:D

It's looking like this shroud may be specific to this filter as chris dropped round tonight and we looked at some ideas. But I'm sure it could be modded for others. I'm sure we'll sort something out for you <_<

Same goes for anyone wanting some exhaust work doing or any fabrication really.

Cheers

Ben

Hi Ben, i was wondering if you had the time to do me a cover as per the template, I looked at trying to do it, but my skills at this kind of thing are poor indeed. I know you mentioned that you havent an idea about prices, would you take some form of alcoholic beverage instead perhaps :D

Cheers,

Col
