braveheart Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Hi Billy, I had a whine not so long ago from my rear left, again only heard it now and again, when i was turning, on inspection it was my wheel bearing on the way out, hope this helps. Chris
StewartyBoy Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 Definately wheel bearings. Aint expensive to fix.
Jazmac Posted May 16, 2009 Posted May 16, 2009 could be something very simole like a stone inbetween the disk and heat sheild, when you reverse it normally shifts it, and bingo no more whine. hope thats all it is for you

Wouldn't be the handbrake not properly disengaging, would it? Jack your car up and check to see if there is any lateral play in the wheel. Usually a wheel bearing is a drone and not a whine.
