Small Prob I Hope

there is a whine started to come from back wheel at least i think it is the back wheel not there all the time like last night drove back home 5 mls turned into my drive way and it was whining kind of on and off reversed then drove forward and it disapeared ? anyone had this before , billy.

Hi Billy, I had a whine not so long ago from my rear left, again only heard it now and again, when i was turning, on inspection it was my wheel bearing on the way out, hope this helps.

could be something very simole like a stone inbetween the disk and heat sheild, when you reverse it normally shifts it, and bingo no more whine.

I had that whine noise on mine too and it turned out to be a stone jammed in between the heat shield and disc! whine wasn't there when i reversed then the noise disappeared :rotfl:

Wouldn't be the handbrake not properly disengaging, would it? Jack your car up and check to see if there is any lateral play in the wheel. Usually a wheel bearing is a drone and not a whine.

I had same problem and it was the brake shoes inside the drum for the handbrake!!!

i think i will strip the brakes down got a new set off discs to go on anyway so hope to get this sorted cause its doing my box in cheers jason :D:rolleyes:
